Flame Resistant Coveralls in Abu Dhabi
Near open flame, sustained heat, or flying sparks, ordinary workwear becomes a hazard — it can ignite and keep burning against the skin. Flame resistant coveralls are built to do the opposite: resist ignition and self-extinguish the moment the flame source is gone. BN International General Trading supplies certified FR coveralls to welders, oil & gas crews, and industrial teams across Abu Dhabi and the UAE — FR-treated cotton, real reflective options, full size range, and bulk pricing for whole crews.
Many buyers search “fire retardant coveralls” and others “flame resistant coveralls” — we supply both; the section below explains the difference so you order the right protection.

Fire retardant vs flame resistant — what's the difference?
People use the terms interchangeably, but they describe how the protection is achieved:

Fire-retardant (FR-treated)
Fire-retardant coveralls are made from cotton treated with a flame-retardant chemical finish that slows burning. They protect reliably and cost less, which is why they’re the standard choice for kitting out a full crew. The finish holds through normal use when the garment is washed correctly (see care below).

Flame-resistant (inherent)
Flame resistant coveralls use fibres that resist ignition by their nature — materials like meta-aramid (Nomex) — so protection lasts the life of the fabric without depending on a treatment. They cost significantly more and suit specialist, extreme-exposure roles.
Most FR coveralls we supply are FR-treated cotton — the practical, tested choice for welding, hot work, and general industrial use across the UAE. If your site specifically requires inherent-fibre or arc-rated garments, tell us and we’ll source to spec.
Certification & standards
Flame protection only counts if it’s tested. Our FR coveralls are certified against the recognised EN ISO standards for garments used in welding and hot-work — covering how the fabric behaves under direct flame contact, radiant heat, and convective heat. This means the protection is independently verified, not just printed on a label.
When you request a quote, we confirm the exact certification and classification for the specific coverall and GSM you need.

Fabric & construction
Our core FR range is 100% cotton with a flame-retardant finish, in three weights — 200, 240 and 320 GSM. Heavier fabric means more protection and durability; lighter fabric means more comfort through a long shift in UAE heat. The finish resists ignition and self-extinguishes once the flame source is removed.
Built for daily wear, the coveralls feature:
- Bar-tacked stress points at shoulders, underarms and seat — the seams that take the most strain.
- Reflective tape options (single or double) for visibility in low light and around plant traffic.
- Elasticated waist for a secure fit — loose fabric near flame or machinery is its own hazard.
- Functional pockets — chest pockets with flap, side and rear pockets, and a sleeve tool/pen pocket.
- Concealed stud or FR-zip fastening so no exposed metal sits against a heat source.
- Reinforced knees on relevant models for kneeling roles.
Specifications vary by model — the exact GSM, tape configuration and pocket layout are listed on each product.
Colours & what they mean on site
FR coverall colour isn't just preference — on many UAE sites it signals role, crew or operational tier. We supply the standard range:
Colour | Typical use
| Why it's chosen
|
|---|---|---|
| Navy Blue | General welding & everyday industrial | Hides dirt; the default multi-purpose choice |
| Orange | High-visibility & traffic-adjacent work | Maximum visibility in low light and outdoors |
| Red | Emergency response & high-alert roles | Instant identification of wardens and specialists |
| Royal Blue | Petrochemical & refinery sites | Often mandated to designate operational tiers |
| Khaki / Tan | Desert & oil-field operations | Blends with dusty sites, cooler under direct sun |
If your site uses colour to separate crews or skill levels, we can match the requirement across a bulk order.
Pricing
FR coverall price depends on two things: fabric weight (GSM) and order quantity. Heavier, more protective fabric costs more; per-piece cost drops as volume rises. Indicative starting prices:
Grade | Weight
| From (AED/piece)
| Best for
|
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 200 GSM | from ~AED 65 | Routine hot work, moderate exposure |
| Enhanced | 240 GSM | from ~AED 90 | Daily welding & industrial — most ordered |
| Premium | 320 GSM | from ~AED 110 | Sustained, high-intensity heat exposure |
Order quantity
| Rate |
|---|---|
| Under 10 pcs | Standard per-piece |
| 10–99 pcs | Bulk rate (10 pcs = minimum for bulk pricing) |
| 100+ pcs | Project / wholesale rate |
Reflective tape, anti-static finish and custom branding affect the final price. Send your sizes, colour and quantity for an exact quote.
Caring for FR coveralls
Correct washing matters more here than with normal workwear — wash it wrong and you can strip the flame-retardant protection you’re paying for:
- Wash at 40°C with a liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents.
- Never use bleach (hypochlorite) or harsh chemicals — they degrade the FR finish.
- Follow the garment care label first — it overrides general advice for that exact fabric.
- Washing outside the stated instructions can cause up to ~5% shrinkage and weaken protection.
- Inspect before each use — check seams, zips and fabric; a damaged FR coverall may no longer perform as certified.

FAQ’s
No. FR coveralls protect against direct flame and heat. Arc-flash garments are tested specifically against electrical arc hazards and carry a separate rating. Tell us if you need arc-rated protection.
Yes. Our core range is FR-treated cotton (fire-retardant); we can source inherent flame-resistant garments on request. Both meet recognised standards.
Yes — we can arrange a sample so you confirm fit and fabric before committing.
10 pieces.
No. The FR finish protects against flame and heat, not water — in rain they absorb moisture like standard workwear.
